FAQ
Does the business owner only get their funds if the project is successful?
Yes! Lucky Ant is an all or nothing system. This project only goes through if they reach at least their first milestone. If they don't get there, everyone walks away empty-handed.
So when I buy something, do you charge my card?
Your card won't be charged until the business reaches their goal. If the business doesn't reach their goal, your card is never charged.
When can I redeem my reward?
When the project is over, if it has funded, you will get a voucher with all the information you need to get your reward.
Does my reward expire?
Unless otherwise specified, all Lucky Ant vouchers are valid for 6 months from the day the project ends. If you need more time or are unsure, please email the project owner.
Is this part of the United Front Street Campaign?
Yes, all projects we are hosting for businesses in South Street Seaport are part of the United Front Street campaign. These projects will help rebuild the great neighborhood that was devastated by Sandy.
How do these pledges work in relation to United Front Street?
You can either pledge to one of the individual businesses, such as this one, and receive a gift certificate or you can make a donation on the United Front Street master page and the money will be divided evenly between the businesses.
What if you don't make the goal?
Since this project is for Sandy Relief, all funds will be disbursed to merchants regardless of if we reach our goal or not.
Wait, wasn't Sandy 3 months ago?
Ya. It was. And yet businesses are still struggling to get back on their feet. Many of the businesses affected by Sandy haven't even reopened yet.
